Express Entry

Express Entry Visas

The Canadian Immigration system manages several visa classes under the Express Entry system to manage immigration of skills that are in short supply in Canada. The first thing you will need to establish is whether or not your skills are currently in demand in Canada. There are 347 skills currently in demand in Canada. Each has a unique NOC or National Occupations Code and you can find out more about the duties and responsibilities along with the necessary qualifications required here and typing in the code next to your profession on the list below.

We provide a 100% free advice service and offer unique interactive support to you. Ask us your questions and an expert will answer you quickly with some great free advice, specific to your needs.

Once confirmed that your skills are on the list you will need to meet further requirements which are each awarded points, from your age to your English language ability, spouses details and more to achieve 67 points or more. These are eventually translated into a further more detailed points system called the Comprehensive Ranking System where a person can achieve up to 1200 points. This is confusing to understand for many but does work with a little thought.

Your qualifications will also need to be assessed by the World Educational Service in Canada or WES, which is a private company. Unfortunately, they only assess academic records, so trade certificates will not be considered. Once you have received your qualifications Canadian equivalent you are free to submit an Expression Of Interest to the Canadian Immigration Authorities who will place your application into a pool of other candidates, for which they periodically select the highest ranking candidates and offer an Invitation To Apply for a visa.

This may all sound extremely convoluted and less that fast which the title Express Entry would lead you to believe at first glance but it is the process everyone has to follow. If you are outside Canada when you apply it has often proven difficult to be selected for a visa as they like people to have previously worked or studied in Canada and award extra points to those people. I would, therefore, suggest you may look at entering Canada as a student initially and then securing employment which will lead to a much stronger case with a far higher likelihood of success.

That said, if your skills are on the list below and you are under 35 years old and would like to pursue an application for Express Entry as a skilled worker we would be happy to assist you further.
