Policies
Privacy Policy
Effective 22 October 2026.
Who we are
This policy applies to The Immigration Worldwide website (theimmigrationworldwide.com, including its Punjabi and Hindi pages) and to the immigration assistance services of The Immigration Worldwide Pty Ltd, ABN 68 617 500 704, of 2/10 Lawn Court, Craigieburn VIC 3064 ("we", "us"). Australian immigration assistance is given by Sukh Sandhu, Registered Migration Agent, MARN 1384130.
We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). As a registered migration agent is also bound by the Migration Agents Code of Conduct, we keep client information confidential and only disclose it with your written consent or where the law requires.
What we collect (APPs 3 and 5)
We collect only what we need to respond to you and, if you become a client, to give immigration assistance:
- contact details: name, email address, phone number, preferred language and where you are located;
- what you tell us in an enquiry, call back request or booking request: your topic, your current visa and your preferred time;
- for clients: identity documents, date of birth, passport and visa details, family details, education, employment, English test results, health and character information, and financial information needed for an application;
- records of our advice and your instructions, including notes of calls and messages.
Some of this is sensitive information, such as health or criminal record information. We collect it only with your consent and only where it is needed for your application. Please do not include health, criminal record or identity numbers in a website form. You can ask general questions anonymously, but we cannot advise on your circumstances or act for you without identifying you.
How we use it (APP 6)
- to respond to your enquiry, call you back or arrange a consultation;
- to give immigration assistance under your service agreement, including preparing and lodging applications;
- to verify identity as the Code of Conduct requires;
- to keep the records the law requires;
- to deal with complaints and legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to. You can opt out of any message at any time.
Overseas storage and disclosure (APP 8)
- Website and form entries: our website and the entries from its forms are held on a web server located in Singapore.
- Email: form entries and our emails are sent through Google's email service, which may store data in the United States and other countries where Google operates.
- Referrals: if you ask for a referral, your details go to the country you asked about (Canada, the United Kingdom, New Zealand or the United States), only with your consent.
- Overseas authorities: where your application needs it, for example police certificates or overseas records.
Before disclosing information overseas we take reasonable steps to make sure the recipient handles it consistently with the APPs, or we get your informed consent.
Storage and retention (APP 11)
We store information in secure systems with access limited to people who need it.
- Records where advice was given: client files and records of advice given at a consultation are kept for at least 7 years after the last action on the matter, as the Code of Conduct requires, then destroyed or de-identified securely.
- Enquiries where no advice was given: kept for 2 years, then deleted.
- Website form copies: removed from the web server on a regular schedule once they have reached our mailbox.
Please do not send passport scans or other identity documents through the website. We will give you a secure way to send documents once you are a client.
Automated tools and artificial intelligence
Our calculators, checklists and booking calendar run only in your browser. They do not make or influence any decision about you, and nothing you enter in them is sent to us unless you submit a form. Checklist ticks are saved in your browser only.
We do not use automated decision-making about clients. We do not enter your personal details into artificial intelligence tools without your written consent. Sukh Sandhu checks and remains responsible for all advice.
Client stories and reviews
We publish a client story or review only with that client's written consent, which says what will be shown. We do not edit stories to change their meaning, offer incentives for reviews, or publish invented reviews. You can withdraw consent at any time and we will remove the story.
Access and correction (APPs 12 and 13)
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. We respond within 30 days and do not charge for correction requests. We may need to confirm your identity first. If we refuse a request, we tell you why in writing and how to complain.
Data breaches
If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires, and tell you what we are doing about it and what you can do.
